Serve
Following Jesus and Serving Him go hand-in-hand (Joh 12:26). Serving should, therefore, be consistent with the ministry and nature of Jesus. The vision of Ministry & Service is as follows:
- To administer the Gospel of Jesus Christ, fulfilling the Great Commission.
- To equip others for the work of the ministry.
- To care for the basic needs of the church body.
- To provide an avenue to worship God through faithful service.
Serving in the Ministry should be regarded as a privilege, with the consideration that those on the receiving end of the ministry are Jesus’ “flock”. For the following reasons, Service positions are divided into areas with qualifications for each:
- To establish confidence and peace of mind in the Flock concerning those who Serve.
- To clarify Servant involvement, expectations, and accountability.
- To set goals for those interested in Serving.
